Richard Buckley hails from the UK, where he worked for many years in the advertising world. Over two decades ago he decided to explore Asia.

He found himself living in some of Asia’s most vibrant cities: Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh and Bangkok, where he conducted in-depth market research for global and Asian research companies. Inspired by what he learned, Richard decided to branch off and start his own company; thus, Pure Continental Ltd. was born.

Pricing

We lead the industry in offering simple, all-inclusive pricing. The price quoted on our web site is the price you pay. We do not change extras for artwork design, additional colors, to die cut/cut thru the card or to print on both sides of the card. Our member card pricing includes all details to personalize your cards including laser etching, magnetic stripe, signature stripe, qr codes and barcodes. We do charge an additional cost however for smart chips, offset full color printing, photo cards and embedding Swarovski crystals into cards.

Range of Card Finishes

We offer the widest range of metals and card finishes available anywhere. We offer 12 different finishes for our stainless steel cards. Our copper cards are made from 99.99% copper.
Cards are available in a variety of card thicknesses from 0.2mm, 200 micron, (0.008”) to 0.8mm, 800 micron (0.0315”). We can also make cards even thicker if required.

Customization and Personalization

To customize your metal cards we offer a range of options to make each card traceable. Typically, we laser etch a unique member name, number or validation date onto each card. We also can include a smart chip, magnetic stripe, barcode or qr code. The use of a signature strip can add a personal touch to the card as well. Card samples

We appreciate that metal cards, card finishes and card thicknesses available may be a new experience for many buyers. We have developed a range of sampler cards in various card finishes and card thicknesses to give you a hands-on experience of the quality and feel of our metal cards. We can send these to you to evaluate without charge.
We can also make a physical sample of your card design before purchasing your order. Samples cost US$125 for 0.3mm card thickness and US$150 for 0.4mm to 0.8mm card thicknesses. Samples take 7-9 days and 2 days to ship by express courier.

Connectivity with Metal NFC Cards

Our metal NFC cards add connectivity to your cards. NFC stands for Near Field Communication and is a subset of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. Through magnetic field induction, NFC enables two devices to send messages when they’re near one another. NFC is part of all cell phones and most modern credit cards. NFC is often used to open doors, link devices like Bluetooth headphones to a smartphone, and pay with a cell phone through services like Apple Pay or Google Pay. NFC can also be used to provide information to consumers by scanning tags on our metal cards. RFID can work over long distances, while NFC is limited to short distances only.

Functionality with Metal Magnetic Stripe Cards

A magnetic stripe card is a metal card that has a thin strip of magnetic material on the back. This strip can store data that can be read by a card reader when the card is swiped. The data can include personal information, account numbers, access codes, or other information that is relevant to the card’s purpose. Our magnetic stripe cards are widely used for various purposes, such as for member ID’s, hotel room keys, gift cards and access control cards.
There are two types of magnetic stripe cards: HiCo and LoCo. These are abbreviations for High Coercivity and Low Coercivity, respectively. These terms refer to the strength of the magnetic field that is required to encode and erase the data on the magnetic stripe. Coercivity is measured in Oersted (Oe), which is a unit of magnetic intensity.
